    Baptist Health provides accredited continuing educati​on (CME/CE) to doctors, nurses and allied health professionals.   


    Baptist Health South Florida is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Baptist Health has been re-surveyed by the ACCME and awarded Commendation for 6 years as a provider of CME for physicians.
 
    Baptist Health South Florida designates this educational activity for a maximum of 13 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
 
 
Osteopathic Medicine, Psychology and Physician Assistants
This activity has been approved for 13 credit hours by the Florida Boards of Medicine, Osteopathic Medicine, Psychology and the Florida Council of Physician Assistants. 5.0 credits on Friday (CE Broker #20-612281), 4.0 credits on Saturday (CE Broker #20-612283), 1.0 credit for Saturday afternoon (CE Broker #20655162), and 3.0 credits on Sunday (CE Broker #20-612287).

Approved on a session-by-session basis for a total of 13 contact hours by the Florida State Board of Nursing CE Broker Provider #50-182; 5 credits for the Friday session (CE Broker #20-612281); 4 credits for the Saturday session (CE Broker #20-612283), 1.0 credit for Saturday afternoon (CE Broker #20655162),and 3 credits for the Sunday session (CE Broker #20-612287).

Pharmacy
This activity has been approved on a session-by-session basis for a total of 13 contact hours by the Florida State Board of Pharmacy, CE Broker Provider #50-182; 5 credits for the Friday session (CE Broker #20-612281); 4 credits for the Saturday session (CE Broker #20-612283), 1.0 credit for Saturday afternoon (CE Broker #20655162), and 3 credits for the Sunday session (CE Broker #20-612287).
 
Respiratory Therapy
This activity has been approved for a total of 13 contact hours for respiratory therapy personnel in the category of Personal Growth by the State of Florida, AHCA provider #RCE58, Baptist Health South Florida. CE Broker Provider #50-182; 5 credits for the Friday session (CE Broker #20-612281), 4 credits for the Saturday session (CE Broker #20-612283), 1.0 credit for Saturday afternoon (CE Broker #20655162), and 3 credits for the Sunday session (CE Broker #20-612287).
 
Dietitians
This activity has been approved by the Commission on Dietetic Registration for 13 CPEUs.
 
American Academy of Family Physicians
This Live activity, 17th Annual Primary Care Focus Symposium, with a beginning date of 06/29/2018, has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to  12.00 Prescribed credit(s) by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

ABIM MOC
Successful completion of this CME activity enables the participant to earn up to 12.00 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program.​

 


 
AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ claimed by physicians attending live events certified and organized in the United States for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ can be claimed through the agreement on mutual recognition of credits between UEMS and AMA, considered as being equal to the European Continuous Medical Education Credits (ECMEC©) granted by the UEMS. One AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ is equivalent to one (1) hour of European EACCME Credit (ECMEC©). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) accepts CEs accredited by the ACCME.  Individuals are responsible for checking with the AANPCB for further guidelines.
 

 

Notice of Terms Regarding Partial Credit: Most accreditation boards do not approve partial credit. Only MDs and pharmacists may claim partial credit for this symposium. When possible, sessions are approved separately, as indicated above. Attendees who do not attend the symposium or the session (if applicable) in its entirety will not receive continuing education credits. We apologize for any inconvenience.​​​​
