This symposium provides a comprehensive update on the latest developments in the field of echocardiography. Clinical presentations and echocardiographic studies will cover ischemic heart disease, valvular heart disease, infective endocarditis, cardiac masses, congestive heart failure, diseases of the aorta, pericardial disease, diastolic dysfunction, Doppler hemodynamics, adult congenital heart disease, transesophageal echocardiography, stress echocardiography, contrast echocardiography, 3-dimensional echocardiography, and new technologies, current controversies and future directions in the field of echocardiography.
